Pembury retirement homes and villages in South Africa

Pembury retirement homes and villages

Pembury retirement homes and villages was started in 1999 by our current CEO and founder, Andrew McLachlan. The first Pembury Retirement Lodge opened with only 5 residents and has since grown to over 400 residents across many lodges. Our goal is to become a national name in retirement, opening in all cities and towns in South Africa.

“Its just like home … only much easier.”

At Pembury we create a caring home environment where our residents can relax and enjoy all the comforts they are used to without any of the concerns of day-to-day living. Our lodges are set up to encourage a carefree retirement for over 50’s with general assistance and specialised healthcare available at every level.

To Rent : A flexible option.  This option does not require an upfront occupancy right investment, but results in a higher monthly premium.

To Buy on occupancy/Life Rights basis: The Occupancy Rights gives the resident the right to occupy the unit for life or can be terminated with two months notice from the resident. Investing in an occupancy right ensures that residents save 30% on their monthly rate; when the unit is vacated residents receive a 50% – 90% refund on their investment.
